Phase 3 of the site (docs/milestones/W1.md, Q179): how-tos and the FAQ. Touches only site/ and docs/.
/howto/: eight recipes (when flashing fails, find your files on the SD card, update from the card, a network without DHCP, record a Track, capture LoRa packets for Wireshark, Gemini offline, "not enough memory"), each a handful of numbered steps.
/faq/: 16 questions with a list at the top: mesh messaging (not yet), what it needs, regions, privacy (says that the device checks the project's server once a day), own builds, memory, the SD card.
The guide templates are generic now: the parent section provides the eyebrow, title and pager. Linked from the guide's index; the navigation is unchanged.
Everything comes from the README, the milestone documents and the Apps' source. No kind/docs issue held a user question (they are mesh design rounds).
Checked: Zola build, check_site.py 26 pages / 0 problems (now including every internal link), FAQ and a how-to looked at in a browser.
Not checked: the steps on a real device, one by one. Two statements describe your own setup rather than the code: the FAQ's "server logs keep only a masked part of visitors' addresses" (the Caddy log masking you added) and the security.txt mention.
Conflicts: none expected with #64 (the devlog); I kept base.html and the W1 status line untouched, so the W1 status line still says phase 2 until #64 lands.

Eight how-to recipes and a FAQ page with a list of its questions, from the
README, the milestone documents and the Apps' source. The guide templates
