What

The Messenger App, reading only in M4: the conversations the Mesh Service holds (#25), one per Channel and one per Node that wrote to us, with unread counts and Notifications. Writing comes in M5.

What's known

The IRC App already has the shape: Buffers, unread counts, Mentions raising Toasts, scrollback, history read back from Logs. The Messenger should feel the same.
Messages are UTF-8; the fonts are Latin-1, so anything beyond U+00FF shows as ? (as in the Gemini App). Meshtastic users like emoji.
Each message can show who sent it, when, and how it arrived (hops, signal).
Direct Messages encrypted with public keys can't be read yet (ADR 0001): show that one arrived, and from whom.

Questions

One list of conversations, or Channels and Nodes apart?
What raises a Notification: every message, only Direct Messages, a setting per Channel?
How much history is loaded, and is the rest read from the card as you scroll (as Gemini does, Q88)?
Does the App show delivery details (hops, RSSI, SNR) inline or on Enter?
