Idea

A search box over the docs (#12, Q186).

Why

Once there is a page per App, how-tos and a developer section, finding "Probation" or "Safe Mode" by browsing gets slow.

What's known

  • Zola can build a search index (build_search_index) and a few kilobytes of JavaScript can search it in the page. The site otherwise needs no JavaScript.
  • A browser's own "find in page" and an external search cover a small site.

Questions

  1. Is it worth the only JavaScript on the content pages?
  2. Does the index include the developer docs and the milestones?
