Idea

Open a .csv file as a table with aligned columns and a header row that stays in place, instead of as raw text.

Why

The Wi-Fi scan Logs (/wifi/scans/*.csv) are the CSV files the firmware writes: network name, address, channel, signal, security. As text on a 40-column screen the lines wrap and the columns don't line up (F1, Q134 shows them as text).

What's known

  • The text viewer reads from the card as you scroll; a table needs the same, plus column widths, which means a first pass over the file or widths taken from the first screenful.
  • The screen holds about 40 characters: a five-column scan line needs horizontal scrolling or a choice of columns.
  • CSV quoting (commas and quotes inside a field) has to be parsed properly: network names contain anything. lib/wifi/src/scan_log.cpp writes these files and knows its own quoting.

Questions

  1. A general CSV viewer, or one that knows the scan Log's columns?
  2. Horizontal scrolling by column, or by character?
  3. Sorting by a column (signal, channel)?
